Has moved to her new home at friday and is doing well there.

We call him Pörri.

Pörri has moved to his new home 8.2.2009.

Grooming the litlle ones

Litlle girls got groomed last weekend.. Here is the result:

Huomaan ihmetteleväni kerta toisensa jälkeen kuinka jokainen pentu on niin persoonallinen, oma ainutlaatuinen itsensä aivan pienestä pitäen. Tämä hoitotäteily on auttanut huomattavasti ymmärtämään kasvattajien kykyä nähdä kuinka koira ja mahdollinen tuleva perhe toimivat yhteen tai ehkä oikeamminkin kuinka tärkeää on miettiä millainen koti millekin pennulle sopii.

Kuten Paula tuolla kirjoittikin; mustalla pannalla varustettu poika on jengin johtaja. -Tai ainakin valokuvattaessa sen onnistuu olla mukana lähes kaikissa tilanteissa, ja toisinaan asioiden ääneen kommentoijana. Joukossa on myös suuri kiipeäjä, joka iloisesti kuin Veikka Gustafsson Himalajalla, on iloisena kerta toisensa jälkeen valmis kokeilemaan huipulle pääsemistä. -Tässä tapauksessa se huippu on kohta, jonka jälkeen odottaa "vapaa pudotus" suureen maailmaan. Jostain kumman syystä aitauksen ympärys on turvattu ja pentuja odottaa siirtyminen suurempaan pentutarhaan.

Pentueessa on myös tuijottaja, joka hyvin rauhallisesti tarkkailee ainakin minun tekemisiäni aitauksen lähistöllä ja tykkää tuijottaa kameran linssiä hyvin läheisesti kuvattaessa. Kiia on saanut tuta, että joukossa on pusuttaja, joka hyvin mielellään putsaa varomattomilta nenän, jopa sisäpuolelta...Yhden pennun bravuuri on paini, erään komentaminen kun muut painivat...Jokaiselle on siis annettu juuri se asia, johon hoitotäti voi kussakin pennussa rakastua. - Ja sillä jaksaa taas :)

I've noticed I keep wondering how it's possible every puppy to be just like no-one else, each having their own little personal things. Spenting time with puppies as Nursery Aunt has made me much more understanding for the job of breeders.- Also the part of knowledge how puppy and possible future family would get along or should I say knowledge of what is needed just for this puppy at a suitable home.

Paula wrote how the black collared puppy seems to be kind of leader, or at least it's the puppy almost always there when photos taken and very often also commenting situations. In the Group there is also a climber of Mountains who time after time wants to hit the top and fall to the otherside, where the big wide world is waiting. - I have woken twice last night as someone licked me...So no wonder we have secured the area and puppies are anytime now moving to have even more room - and sure higher walls.

One of the puppies has this intensive look, and seems like he keeps stearing at me while I'm anywhere near. Not to mention when I'm near with Camera...Seems he'd like to know what that thing next to my face is and the best way to get to know would be doing like me, only on the other side of lences. Kiia just have met the great kisser of the band, the puppy ready to lick your nose inside out, if you're not careful. One puppy is great wrestler and the other sure is a commender of almost every playfight around. So each and every puppy has "the thing" to love and all they have found a way to Nursery Aunt's heart, with their own special personal ways. And that is fuel keeping Nursery Aunt going on :)

We have started to get interested in all kinds of toys. This doghouse is our favourite. Couple of us goes inside of it and other jump on them...

I have a lot to say! I just had to add this, he looks so funny in it.

Pups spend their days eating, sleeping, playing...

In this litter we have had "the kisser babies". They aren't easily biting you, which they usually do. They might try suck your fingers though. Namu still keeps feeding them and the milk flows properly.




I have been asked several times how I know when they are up to something... This look it the answer.

And couple seconds later we know what he was up to. He wanted to come to take the pictures for a change! =)









We keep getting these amazing headstudies of them.





It isn't the easiest job to breed a litter of these. You spent most of the time you are awake cleaning after them, feeding them, dewormings, activating them, taking care of their mom and yes... watching them sleep!

These pictures and the ones on the following text (e-girls pics taken with the same background)are taken by Mona Lindfors when she visited us last weekend. Other pictures in this blog are taken by myself or Raija.

Mona will hopefully come to visit us again in couple weeks. Raija will come to take care of the litlle ones today as I'm going to work.

On saturday Mona and I also shaved their faces for the first time. Now they are so cute!

Hoitotäti tässä hei! / Nursing Aunt Raija says hello!

Olen täällä pentujen luona ollut jo useampia kertoja, Paulan töissä ja pentuja viemässä ollessa, hoitajana, mutta isompien mustien ja pienten valkoisten hoitamisessa on ollut sen verran hommaa, että selkeästi blogin päivitys on osaltani jäänyt vähälle. Isompien kanssahan mm.painellaan ulkona, leikitään ja opetellaan tapoja, pienempien kanssa totutellaan käsittelyyn yms. Lisäksi hoivaan luonnollisesti Namua, se ansaitsee, tarvitsee ja saa päivittäistä huomiointia :)

Niille, joille en ole entuudestaan tuttu; Olen Raija ja meillä on Paulan kanssa yhteisiä koiraprojekteja mm. musta isovillakoiranarttu Fea, Seran C-penmnuista ja musta keskikokoinen yhteisomistuksessamme oleva Fendi. Hoitamassa mukanani on usein myös 11-vuotias tyttäreni Kiia.

Pennut kasvavat vauhdilla. Kehittymisen huomaa käytöksestä selkeästi mm. tullessaan huoneeseen ja seuraillessaan touhuja; syömisen, nukkumisen ja tarkkailun lisäksi leikkiminen alkaa tulla kuvioihin ja ääntä tulee erilailla kuin vielä viikko sitten. Pennut alkavat myös ottaa ihmisiin toisella tavalla kontaktia - kuten Paula kirjoittikin, nyt alkaa vasta oikeastaan sellainen "käsittelyaika".

Pentujen luonteet alkavat myös tulla toisella tavalla näkyviin. Persooniahan ne ovat luonnollisesti olleet alusta alkaen, nyt se vaan muuttuu selvemmäksi; tyyntyminen, leikin aloitus, aktiivisuus ja esim. ihmisen kasvojen nuoleminen ovat erilaisia. Kiia sanoi D-pentueesta, että huomasi selvästi milloin pennut siirtyivät kokeilemaan kiinteää ruokaa; ne lakkasivat imemästä kaikkea mihin ylettivät...Koirathan ovat pusuttamistavoiltaan ja-innoltaan muutenkin hyvin erilaisia. -Meillä kotona asuu "pusumaakari" ja toinen, joka on todella innoissaan ja todella tutun ihmisen seurassa innostunut nuolemaan naamaa.

So Hello readers!
I'm "the nursing Aunt" Raija and I've been here several times, with D- and E-puppies, to take care of dogs, puppies and adults when Paula needs to work or do something, like taking D-puppis to their new homes. As you don't know me, let me tell a little about me: So I have some "dogbusiness" with Paula like 2,5 years old Fea, black standard, placed to us and Fendi, miniature, who we own together. So I have had this honour to be in nursing team and get to know puppies since their early days as long as they stay with Paula. And I have noticed, there is still a bit of my heart under every puppies' skin when they move to live with their own families :) With me here's often my daughter, 11 years old Kiia who's now gotten a great experience as we has been able to share puppies lifes since beguining.

Puppies sure are growing and it's easy to see and hear: they react when you come into room, they have started to play with each others and they sure have started to "talk" etc. -So I understand why Namu-mother has started to stay nights next to Paula (well she actually slept next to her and puppies first weeks...); those little fellows sure are able to let their mum know if there is some problem. Moving is also changed, there is more action :) -So everything goes the way it should :)

Till now Paula and us, the nursing team, have been handling the puppies when needed, but now the time to handle them more has started. Kiia said (with D-puppies) that it is possible to know easily when the puppies have started to eat puppyfood with the milk; they lick you face instead of sucking :) Now also that time has begun. Puppies have been their own personalities since they were born, now differences start to show more; activity, "talking", "kissing style" etc. sure are by person. And if you wonder what I mean with the kissing; we have two dogs at home, and the other is called "kiss-master", and sure shows her loving feelings, and the other may lick the face of a well known person just at the time of high feelings...

Pennut muuttivat maanantaina pentutarhaan

ja sekös on jännittävää seurattavaa. Pikkupentujen tassut kun eivät oikein meinaa niitä liukkalla paperilla totella ja yritykset kävellä tarpeita tekemään ovat kuin Bambin yritykset luistella... Massuillensa muksahdelleita pentuja on siis viimepäivinä näkynyt vähän väliä.

Ensimmäiset madotukset pennut saivat täytettyään tuon maagisen kaksi viikkoa. Kahden viikon ikää pidetään ns. kriittisen kauden päättävänä. Esim. kehityshäiriöt usein karsivat pennun pois ennen tuon kahden viikon täyttymistä. Näiden pentujen kehitys on ollut kaiken kaikkiaan oppikirjojen mukaista. Painoiltaankin kaikki ovat jo reippaasti "yli kilon paloja". Nopea kasvu on tosin saanut aikaan sen, että Seran kevyisiin ns. suuren pentueen pentuihin nähden, ovat Namun pennut vielä hieman kömpelöitä. Tämä toki poistuu itsestään tulevien viikkojen aikana pentujen touhukkuuden kasvaessa. Ne nukkuvat, syövät, tekevät tarpeensa ja hieman jo leikkivät - aloittaakseen saman uudelleen hetkeä myöhemmin. Ja Namu on siirtynyt nukkumaan viereeni, sekin uskoo jo lastensa kykyyn ilmoittaa kyllä, jos asiaa tulee.

Uusinta uutta pentulaatikossa on kädestä kiinteän ruoan (turvotettua nappulaa) syöminen. Namu hyvänä äitinä hoiti alle kaksiviikkoisia lähes itsenäisesti. Käsittelyharjoituksia toki pennuille on tehty koko ajan ja Super-dog ohjelmaa suoriteltiin, mutta tarpeetonta pentulaatikon härkkimistä ei alle kaksi viikkoisille harrastettu. Nyt siis pennut alkavat nälän tullen jo pikkuhiljaa hakea kasvattajamamin kättä - kontaktihakua siis on kasvavissa määrin myös ihmistä kohtaan, koira-äidin pikkuhiljaa alkaessa jättäytyä taka-alalle.

Pentupannat söpöläiset saivat samalla matolääkkeidensä kanssa. violetti, keltainen ja oranssi ovat meidän pikkuneidit ja musta, vihreä sekä sininen pieniä prinssejä.

Kuten tuossa aiemmin kertoilinkin jo, on tämä pentue saavuttanut myös kansainvälistä kiinnostusta, jonka johdosta yritän silloin tällöin päivitellä tätä myös englanniksi.

Tervetulleeksi pentuja katsomaan toivottelen uudelleen Remeksen perheen - joilla on C-pentueesta N. Coventina niminen narttu. He liittyvät tämän pentueen myötä nyt myös sijoitus-koiran omistajiin! On ihanaa päästä sijoittamaan narttu perheeseen, jonka jo entuudestaan tuntee!
